W.E. Couplings can now offer a crimping diameter of up to 24”, and can crimp by diameter or by pressure. The company comments that it can therefore assure the total accuracy of the finished crimp, which is essential for product safety.
To ensure total satisfaction of product, W.E. Couplings’ managing director, Peter Hart, requested what he believes to be the most advanced crimping control system in the world, together with total connectivity of data transfer for online quality data monitoring. He said this has been achieved by sourcing Finnpower UC Control with Option 3 connectivity control.
This additional large investment of a second King Crimper has reportedly opened up new world markets for W.E. Couplings. Hart commented: “I would like to thank Frank Kirwan at Finnpower, Noel Chambers at Hydrapower Dynamics and all others involved in delivery and commissioning, as the transportation from Finland to meet a timed 50 ton mobile (specialist crane hire) was all completed in military-style precision with no hitches or time lost.” He added that within 24 hours of the machine being commissioned an order was received for 3 x 14", 10 metre, 16 bar oil hose assemblies.
W.E. Couplings holds in stock water hose up to 24" bore and oil hose to 18" bore. The value of the company’s stock is continually increasing towards a target value of over £1 million.
